Our 8th Annual Brewery Appreciation Day is Sunday November 25th!

Our favorite day of the year is coming up—our 8th Annual Brewery Appreciation Day! It’s our chance, once a year, to gather some of our favorite breweries all in one place and sample some of their delicious offerings and eat a bunch of fajitas. A pretty good day, really…

Tickets are available now at Adobe Blues or at Eventbrite!

We’re working hard to nail down the breweries and beers that are going to be represented this year. All are cracking open their vaults to bring out some rare and one off beers for us to try!

In addition to all of the commercial breweries, we’re always excited to try the selections from Pour Standards Home Brew Club. Every year our local brewers come up with some of the most talked about beers of the day, and we expect the same this year.

Tickets are limited: we cap the number of tickets we sell to create a comfortable experience with friends where everyone can get a beer without crowds and long lines, and have space to enjoy it as well.

Included in the ticket price are a 5oz tasting glass (real glass!), tastes of all the beers, unlimited information from knowledgeable beer reps…plus all you can eat steak, chicken and vegetable fajitas and mini tacos!

Breweries to be confirmed soon...stay tuned to Adobe Blues Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

New York City Beer Week is upon us!

This weekend starts the annual celebration of beer in the five boroughs - New York City Beer Week! We've got some special events planned to celebrate!

First up, tonight at 5:00 we're tapping one of the first kegs of Staten Island's own Flagship Brewing's new Double IPA, License to Illo! Dry, hoppy, and a sticky 9.4%, we're pretty stoked to get a pint of this in us to start our beer week off right! We're tapping this one on Friday afternoon at 5:00!

Next up, on Tuesday February 23, we're tapping three variants of Ballast Point Brewing's superb imperial porter, Victory at Sea, for one night only!

This is a pretty rare chance to try three variants side by side--one keg with mint, one with coconut, and one with peanut butter! We're offering a five-ounce pour of each for one night only, and then will run the back to back after that. Tuesday is your only chance to try them side by side...don't miss out!

Check out the website for the New York City Brewer's Guild for more information on NYC Beer Week. They also have a pretty great app for all the events that are happening city wide--look for it on the App Store or Google Play!

Also, be sure to tag and search #nycbeerweek to keep up on what's going on around town!

Grimm Artisanal Ales takeover for Tom's birthday!

It's Tom's 30th birthday! And we're celebrating this Friday, 2/12, with beer from his favorite brewery, Grimm Artisanal Ales!

Actually, we're pretty happy that Tom chose Grimm to celebrate his birthday, because I think it's everyone's favorite brewery here at Adobe Blues. Across a multitude of styles, Grimm knocks it out of the park every time, and we love them for it.

Here's what we're tapping on Friday!

Lumen: a juicy, hazy 6.4% IPA

Super Spruce: a white oak-aged, dry-hopped, spruce tip-infused 4.7% Gose

Bourbon Barrel Double Negative: we don't have a lot of this (we squirreled some away from our Brewery Appreciation Day back in November), so we're letting Tom decide when he's going to tap it. We'll enjoy it whenever he's ready!

This should be a great time--sipping on some delicious Grimm beers while celebrating the birth of our favorite 2014 Staten Island bartender of the year! Come join us Friday, and raise a glass to Tom!

Fat Tuesday is February 9th!

It's time for one of our favorite blow-outs of the year--the Adobe Blues Mardi Gras party! This Tuesday, 2/9, is Fat Tuesday, and that is the day it's all happening. There will be beads and masks, and John Lynch has put together a band to play a soundtrack of New Orleans favorites all night!

Sam is putting together a menu of cajun and creole dishes in the kitchen, including our famous crawfish boil, with whole crawfish flown in from Louisiana, jambalaya, gumbo, catfish po boys, and more!

Of course, drinks will be flowing: homemade, fresh Hurricanes, Sazeracs, Vieux Carres, and other favorite French Quarter cocktails will be stirred up. Louisiana's pioneering craft brewery, Abita, will have the taps, with a fresh hop pale ale and bourbon-barrel aged maple pecan brown ale!

As always, this is one not to miss. We'll probably be celebrating all day...but the party should really get going after 5:00. We'll see you at Adobe Blues!

Oskar Blues tap takeover for the Super Bowl!

You wouldn't think it, since we're not a sports bar...but every year we host one of the best Super Bowl parties in town. In addition to the hard shell taco bar and all-you-can-eat wings, we cover the front windows with paper and project the game onto it. We also put a beer from each team's home state on tap!

There's a problem this year, though. North Carolina is home to a lot of great breweries, but none of them distribute in New York. However...Colorado's Oskar Blues opened an east coast outpost of their brewery a couple of years ago...in North Carolina! We can use the same brewery for both teams! Problem solved!

Here's what we'll have on tap from Oskar Blues for the Super Bowl:

--Mama's Little Yella Pils: a 5.3% easy-drinking Czech Pilsener

--Pinner: one of their newer creations, Pinner is a 4.9% session IPA

--Ten Fidy: one of our favorite classic imperial stouts...10.5%!

Come join us for the Super Bowl this Saturday, 2/7! The game starts at 6:30 PM...see you then!

Off Color Brewing tap takeover for Hannah's birthday!

This Friday 1/22 is Hannah's birthday, and we're celebrating with a tap takeover from her favorite brewery, Chicago's Off Color Brewing!

Here's what we'll have on tap Friday night:

Apex Predator: 6.8% dry-hopped farmhouse ale

15 Feet: 3.5% applewood smoked wheat ale

DinoS'mores: 10.5% imperial stout brewed with graham flour, marshmallow fluff, vanilla, and cocoa nibs!

Also, if you've met Hannah...you know there will probably be some donuts at some point. Come celebrate with us this Friday!
