Seriously--6 years!! That's how long we've been dedicating the first week of April to our favorite gypsy brewery, Mikkeller! Every year, we look forward to showcasing Denmark's finest by offering delicious and varied beers on tap, in bottles, and in cans. We've got a lot of different beer over a lot of different styles this year, and we're excited about all of it!

Hard to believe it's been five years! Each April, we set aside a week to celebrate one of our favorite breweries, Mikkeller! Constantly evolving, constantly pushing boundaries, and constantly putting out loads of delicious beer, Mikkeller blows us away every time. Across styles, Mikkeller produces some of the most inventive and incredible beers that we run across in the year.

This weekend starts the annual celebration of beer in the five boroughs - New York City Beer Week! We've got some special events planned to celebrate!
First up, tonight at 5:00 we're tapping one of the first kegs of Staten Island's own Flagship Brewing's new Double IPA, License to Illo! Dry, hoppy, and a sticky 9.4%, we're pretty stoked to get a pint of this in us to start our beer week off right! We're tapping this one on Friday afternoon at 5:00!
Next up, on Tuesday February 23, we're tapping three variants of Ballast Point Brewing's superb imperial porter, Victory at Sea, for one night only!
This is a pretty rare chance to try three variants side by side--one keg with mint, one with coconut, and one with peanut butter! We're offering a five-ounce pour of each for one night only, and then will run the back to back after that. Tuesday is your only chance to try them side by side...don't miss out!

It's Tom's 30th birthday! And we're celebrating this Friday, 2/12, with beer from his favorite brewery, Grimm Artisanal Ales!
Actually, we're pretty happy that Tom chose Grimm to celebrate his birthday, because I think it's everyone's favorite brewery here at Adobe Blues. Across a multitude of styles, Grimm knocks it out of the park every time, and we love them for it.
Here's what we're tapping on Friday!
Lumen: a juicy, hazy 6.4% IPA
Super Spruce: a white oak-aged, dry-hopped, spruce tip-infused 4.7% Gose
Bourbon Barrel Double Negative: we don't have a lot of this (we squirreled some away from our Brewery Appreciation Day back in November), so we're letting Tom decide when he's going to tap it. We'll enjoy it whenever he's ready!
This should be a great time--sipping on some delicious Grimm beers while celebrating the birth of our favorite 2014 Staten Island bartender of the year! Come join us Friday, and raise a glass to Tom!
It's time for one of our favorite blow-outs of the year--the Adobe Blues Mardi Gras party! This Tuesday, 2/9, is Fat Tuesday, and that is the day it's all happening. There will be beads and masks, and John Lynch has put together a band to play a soundtrack of New Orleans favorites all night!
Sam is putting together a menu of cajun and creole dishes in the kitchen, including our famous crawfish boil, with whole crawfish flown in from Louisiana, jambalaya, gumbo, catfish po boys, and more!
Of course, drinks will be flowing: homemade, fresh Hurricanes, Sazeracs, Vieux Carres, and other favorite French Quarter cocktails will be stirred up. Louisiana's pioneering craft brewery, Abita, will have the taps, with a fresh hop pale ale and bourbon-barrel aged maple pecan brown ale!
As always, this is one not to miss. We'll probably be celebrating all day...but the party should really get going after 5:00. We'll see you at Adobe Blues!
You wouldn't think it, since we're not a sports bar...but every year we host one of the best Super Bowl parties in town. In addition to the hard shell taco bar and all-you-can-eat wings, we cover the front windows with paper and project the game onto it. We also put a beer from each team's home state on tap!
There's a problem this year, though. North Carolina is home to a lot of great breweries, but none of them distribute in New York. However...Colorado's Oskar Blues opened an east coast outpost of their brewery a couple of years ago...in North Carolina! We can use the same brewery for both teams! Problem solved!

--Pinner: one of their newer creations, Pinner is a 4.9% session IPA
--Ten Fidy: one of our favorite classic imperial stouts...10.5%!

This Friday 1/22 is Hannah's birthday, and we're celebrating with a tap takeover from her favorite brewery, Chicago's Off Color Brewing!

Apex Predator: 6.8% dry-hopped farmhouse ale
15 Feet: 3.5% applewood smoked wheat ale
DinoS'mores: 10.5% imperial stout brewed with graham flour, marshmallow fluff, vanilla, and cocoa nibs!
